Looking for a good pattern for an “eternity scarf”, if anyone has one to recommend. Also, I haven’t worked much with circular needles and may need some advice/pointers for this project.

If you are a beginner, I would start with this simply yet gorgeous scarf – http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/honey-cowl
There is also a very nice local yarn store here in Scarsdale where you can come in, get the yarn, and get the advice / help in case you need it. Good luck!

I only wish I could knit, but I can crochet. I have attached a link to one of my favorite sites for eternity scarves. http://www.allfreecrochet.com/Scarves/Crochet-a-Cowl-and-Learn-How-to-Crochet-an-Infinity-Scarf/ct/1
BTW – there is an a similar site for knitters if that is the type of patterns you are looking for. You can also go to craftsy.com and purchase one of their online courses to learn new skills or brush up on your existing skills. Either way, have fun and enjoy yourself.

I find a lot of nice patterns, mostly crochet, at this site:

I suspect this site also accommodates knitters, so give it a try.
Have fun!

I have never knit an eternity scarf but there are lots of patterns for them. I suggest that you go to Ravelry.com, become a member (it’s free) and search their patterns. Many of the patterns that members have posted are free of charge. If you have any questions while knitting your project I would be happy to help.
Good luck!
