It’s certainly difficult when medical issues hamper and compound weight issues. The first thing that occurs to me is to find out if there is a nutritionist who specializes in working with people with your medical issues. The second thing is, if you can, to stay as active as possible; think of what you CAN do as exercise (be it parking a few spaces further away from a store, walking around the block, doing light weight or stretch band work, etc.) and you might find it helps–there was a study a number of years back that tracked women who were hotel maids, and apparently when the women thought of all their activities as exercise, they lost weight and toned up. It could well have been due to the effect of them unintentionally putting more effort into the movement; whatever, it shows the power of the mind to help deal with difficult times. I wish you well, in all meanings.
