I am 59 years old and have had numerous surgeries, including a bilateral mastecctomy, sleeve gastrectomy and three vertical C-sections (from the 70’s and 80’s). Even before my WLS, THREE surgeons said a tummy tuck was necessary. I’m now 2 years post op from the WLS and they refuse to do the tummy tuck. The skin in the fold under my abdominal is degraded, red, angry and often infected. What is my recourse?

Hi!
Congrats on your weight loss! That is a huge accomplishment. It sounds as if you will most certainly need a Lipo-Abdominoplasty to address the excess skin however at my practice we do have certain requirements to ensure you are a candidate for the procedure so that I may provide you with the absolute best result.
Talk to your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and find out why they have deemed you not a candidate so you will understand.
All the best,
