Friends In Need Are Friends Indeed

“I would like to start by saying thank you for my Sammi and Sydney{Susan’s two daughters}for being the anchor in my life, the sunshine that comes through on the cloudiest of days and the exceptional pride and joy of my daily existence.

“Now, the fact that I turned 50 this week gave me a reason to gather all of you fine people in one place, but I really wanted to celebrate our friendship and the deep appreciation for all of you who really not just showed up here today, but who have really shown up for me and my family in ways that words cannot describe over the last few years. You have all touched me so deeply in so many ways.  You have all been a team of angels for me and my family. For that, I am most grateful.

“I look around this room and see my friends here since high school, college, Lindenmere Drive, Lakeside School, Colgate, good times, rough times, and even just recently, my new friends who I am so glad to have made in my new chapter here in NYC.  You have each played a role in my journey and I am so glad to have you ALL in my life.  I love you!”

I am delighted to know Susan. Some of my closest friends are women I’ve met since launching FabOverFifty six years ago. It’s not necessarily the length of time we know someone that counts; it’s the richness of the relationship that does.
